Roman Miroshnichenko just won 1st Prize of the 28th annual USA Songwriting Competition (USASC). This time Roman achieved success in the in the "Best Jazz Award" category - the single «Africa», featuring the legendary jazz guitarist Mike Stern. «Africa» is an elegant instrumental arrangement with Afro-Latin flavor, created by Roman in the summer of 2023 and based on the melody of the song by Stas Namin.
USASC is the world's leading international songwriting and composer competition with over $100,000 in prize money. The judging committee (Blue Ribbon) of the competition is made up of leading figures in the music industry, including major label publishers and producers SONY Music, Universal Music, EMI, Warner/Reprise and others. Among the USASC laureates of previous years are Ian Anderson, Gino Vanelli, Al Di Meola, Jami Alimorad, Dave Koz, Eric Moore, Leslie Johnson, Mark Lettieri and others.

Roman's composition "Bodhrán's Magic" — absolute Winner of the FILM MUSIC CONTEST (FMC), an international music competition for composers of original music for cinema, television, advertising and video games. FMC was founded in 2018 in Bratislava and is today the largest competition in Europe with a prize fund of 60,000 euros.
“Congratulations! Among a record number of competitors from more than 70 countries, you have been selected as an absolute winner in the annual music competition FMC 2023. Your interesting original composition attracted the attention of the international jury and brought success, which proves your love for music and passion,” says the official letter from the FMC organizing committee.
